| Call for Abstracts
The Scientific Programme Committee of the 6th International Conference on PBL in Dentistry welcomes the submission of abstracts for oral or poster presentation. Accepted abstracts will be published and distributed to all participants.

You may select one of the following categories for your paper:
- Curriculum Development
- Curriculum Evaluation
- Technology & Transfer
- Others

Instructions

Please closely follow the Guidelines for Abstract Submission, and refer to the Sample Abstracts for a model abstract.

Authors of abstracts are requested to complete an Online Submission Form.

An individual participating in the Conference may submit more than one abstract. Presenters may appear as co-authors on other abstracts.

We prefer that abstracts are submitted through the website but, if this is not possible, they can be e-mailed, or a digital version plus hard copy can be sent by mail.

Simple tables or graphs (in black and white only) may be included.

Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted.

Selection Criteria
The selection of abstracts by the Scientific Programme Committee will be based on the following aspects, which will be assessed with equal weight:

Scientific rationale and clinical relevance of the objectives
-
Innovation and originality of the project
-
Appropriateness of the methodology, data analysis, and conclusion

Clarity of presentation

Outstanding Oral Presentation Award
Prize(s) will be awarded by the Organising Committee for outstanding oral presentation(s) in any oral/dental or related fields presented at the 6th International Conference on PBL in Dentistry. The oral presentation should be based on original and previously unpublished educational practice or research work.
Eligibility: Presenters of an oral presentation delivered at the Conference who have pre-registered for the Conference and indicated that they be considered for the prize will be eligible for the prize.
Adjudication: An expert panel of judges will review the oral presentation and select the winner(s). The judges’ decision is final.
Presentation: The prize(s) will be awarded at the Gala Dinner on Saturday, 14 November 2009.
Closing date for submission of abstracts: 15 October 2009

Outstanding Poster Award
Prize(s) will be awarded by the Organising Committee for outstanding poster(s) in any oral/dental or related fields presented at the 6th International Conference on PBL in Dentistry. The poster should be based on original and previously unpublished educational practice or research work.
Eligibility: Presenters of poster presented at the Conference who have pre-registered for the Conference and indicated that they be considered for the prize will be eligible for the prize.
Adjudication: An expert panel of judges will review the posters and select the winner(s). The judges’ decision is final.
Presentation: The prize(s) will be awarded at the Gala Dinner on Saturday, 14 November 2009.
Closing date for submission of abstracts: 15 October 2009
